Baby Jesus Birthday Cake & Icing

2 1/2 c all purpose flour
  1 1/2 c sugar
  1 1/2 c oil
  1 c buttermilk
  2 eggs
  1 tsp vanilla
  2 tsp cocoa
  1 tsp salt
  1 tsp soda
  1 tsp vinegar
  1-2oz bottle red food coloring (or 2-1oz bottle)

Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350F for about 30
to 35 minute.


Icing:

  1 Box (16oz) confectioner's sugar (sifted)
  1 stick butter, softened
  1 8oz package cream cheese
  1 tsp vanilla
  1 -2oz.bottle of green food coloring(or 2-1oz.bottles)

cream together butter and cream cheese, slowly stir in sugar, add vanilla and food coloring and mix well. frost cooled cake and enjoy

SNOWMAN SOUP

   

Want to "make" a small gift for someone?  Want to give someone special a nice little gift that means you care, means you thought about them ... and one you can give with love?  Here's the answer:
SNOWMAN SOUP
1 package hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey Kisses
15 or so marshmallows
1 candy cane
Place all the above in a new, large mug, wrap it in transparent plastic and
attach the following poem.
THE POEM:
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit,
So here's a little Snowman Soup,
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow,
It's sure to do the trick

Snowball Cookies

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
additional powdered sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fully mixed. Add flour with salt to creamed mixture, blend thoroughly. Add nuts and mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400F. Shape into 1-inch balls and bake 8-10 minutes. Do not brown. Cool, and then roll in powdered sugar

Gooey Butter Cookies


Makes about 24

8 ounces cream cheese (1 package)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 18.5-ounce package yellow cake mix
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Add cake mix, and stir until well blended. Roll into 1" balls and then roll the balls in the powdered sugar. Place 1 inch apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.

Kentucky Bourbon Balls

1 cup vanilla wafers
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 cup bourbon
1 cup chopped pecans
Unsweetened cocoa powder and confectioners' sugar, for coating

Combine the crumbs,sugar,1/4 cup cocoa powder, corn syrup and bourbon in a food processor or with an electric mixer. Blend until thoroughly mixed. Then, using a spoon, stir in the pecans. Roll tablespoons of the mixture to form small truffle-sized balls. Roll the bourbon balls in the cocoa to coat them. Just before serving, lightly sprinkle the balls with confectioners'sugar, using a strainer or shaker.

no bake butterfinger cookies

Ingredients
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups cornflakes, crushed
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium
heat. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in
vanilla, then crushed cereal. Transfer mixture to a lightly buttered
baking dish. Spread melted chocolate over top and let harden.
